Metamorphosis

“No man ever steps in the same river twice. For it’s not the same river and he’s not the same man.” – Heraclitus, Greek philosopher

I am not the me I was yesterday, not the me I will be tomorrow. I am the me in the present, with some fragments of yesterday & a prelude to tomorrow possibly latched on to the corners of my soul. And both what I carry over from yesterday – the burden of experience or the lightness of wisdom – as well as what I have borrowed from tomorrow – the hope of happiness or the foreboding of doom – shape the me of today. Sandwiched between the echoes of yesterday & the whispers of tomorrow, I am metamorphosis personified. Just like you, just like the universe.
अहं ब्रह्मास्मि।
