Alive
This
one is all about that moment - that one moment in the history of the
unparalleled universe that you existed in - which can never be taken away from
you. That one photograph which weighs a hundred tons because of the memories it
carries in it, or that one video which has left a mark a billion times deeper
than its duration. Maybe it's about that one smile, or a wink, a whispered
word, a twinkle in the eye, a semi-formed teardrop, a kiss, a sigh caught in
the throat, a buzzing in the ears, a skipped heartbeat, a tingling down the
spine, a breath taken away, a reflection on a wineglass, an epiphany, a whiff
of fragrance, a universe of evanescence. Or maybe something that you just can't
put your finger on, something that's playing hide-and-seek with your subconscious,
bewitching the moth of your memory with the dangling flame of nostalgia. Things
were better then, and so were people. Words had value, and so did touch. And
all you want to do is to find a way back to that moment in time, that lost
corner of the map, where you felt alive. Really, really alive.
